Photon Echo Quantum Memories

Original and new protocols in realization of photon echo quantum memory are discussed.
Here, I succeed a generalization of the reversible light atoms dynamics for a storage and retrieval of the initial signal light field in the inhomogeneously broadened resonant media. Following this approach, I present various possible scenarios for the theoretically perfect reversible dynamics in two- and three-level atomic media which are promising for the storage and quantum manipulation of the signal light fields.
Here, a novel rephasing protocol of the atomic coherence realized without initial tailoring of the resonant atomic transition will be also presented. The photon echo quantum memory protocols will be discussed for different atomic systems situated as in the free space schemes, waveguides and in the QED cavities.
